How we make it

Articles are researched and drafted by our newsroom with the assistance of AI tools, then reviewed, fact-checked and approved by a named human editor before publication. Nothing is published without that review. We state this on every article rather than leaving readers to guess — see our editorial policy for the detail.

How we pay for it

Part of our revenue comes from advertising displayed on the site. Advertisers have no input into what we cover or how we cover it, and no advertiser sees an article before it is published.

News French Fries is owned and published by Foxy Media, registered in Brazil under CNPJ 62.525.315/0001-00. The registration details are public on our company information page. We are not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any government body, political party, or the companies we write about.

What AI does here, and what it does not

We use AI tools for research assistance and for drafting. We do not use them to decide what is true. Every article is read by a human editor who checks the claims, follows the links, and either approves the piece or sends it back. Where a figure appears, the editor traces it to the body that published it before the article runs.

This is a real constraint on how much we can publish, and we would rather publish less than skip the step. When we have failed at it, we have taken articles down rather than leave them up — see our editorial policy on corrections.

What we will not do

  • We do not publish articles that cite sources we have not read.
  • We do not attribute statements to people or organisations that did not make them.
  • We do not run sponsored content without labelling it as sponsored.
  • We do not write headlines that the article does not deliver on.
  • We do not ask readers for sensitive personal information, and we never charge for access to our content.
